You feel like you're working around the clock but getting very few things done? You might want to stop, breathe, and follow these steps.
#1. Reconnect and get inspired
Leave your desk and go out in nature! When's the last time you've seen the ocean or sat under a tree? Get your mind off work and we promise you you'll be back stronger and refreshed. Sometimes the best way to solve a problem is to walk away from it. The inspiration will come when you let go.
#2. Stay healthy!!
You've heard it a million times but are you really implementing it? Get one of those motivational bottles and make sure you stay hydrated. Also, prepare a few healthy snacks that you can easily grab while you're working so you won't be tempted to reach for the junk food. Pack some walnuts, dried fruit, and a chunk of dark chocolate to keep you focused. Also, be aware of your posture. Get one of our standing desks or raised laptop stands.
A good laugh can do wonders for the soul. Surround yourself with positive people, go watch a stand up comedy show and take everything lightly.
#4. Breakdown Your Lists
When you've got so much to do, one long to do list will overwhelm and discourage you. The trick is to make several smaller lists. You can breakdown your lists by project or by time of day. This will allow you to be more detailed with your to do items and have a clear direction.
Something we all know we should do, and most likely forget to do - especially in times of sickness or when we're rushing to get things done. Our tip? Take 5 minutes alone before the start of your work day just to sit and be quiet. Evaluate your goals and look at the bigger picture.
